The judges for Demo Factor 2026 have been announced!

I’m so pleased to be hosting Demo Factor this year! It seems like yesterday I submitted my own demo…and subsequently feeling like I was going to vomit from nerves. It could be a full circle moment, as I have no doubt I’ll be feeling a similar way on that Salford stage in April.
Demo Factor is amazing for multiple reasons. You get exposure to radio big wigs. You learn how to create a perfect demo. But maybe most of all, you feel inspired by your fellow students who are just as passionate about radio as you (whether you submitted a demo or not). To be a part of that this year is an honour.
The year I attended SRACon, I watched someone get their own national radio show thanks to Demo Factor. Maybe we’ll see the same this year?

And well done to Amy Heeley from LSR who was also awarded a golden buzzer.

After the judges had time to think about the winner of Demo Factor 2025, they decided Katie-Louise from Shock Radio triumphed this year’s Demo Factor. The judges said Katie-Louise was a very deserving winner and that her personality shone through her demo. Congratulations to Shock’s very own Katie-Louise!

Last up for the night is Fiona Macintyre from Queen’s Radio. Chris thought the second link was better than the first link and wasn’t sure on the mosh-pit clip. However, Paul really enjoyed the demo and loved Fiona’s voice. Kate thought Fiona should lead off her strongest content first but overall enjoyed listening.
Next up, Lili Phillips from LSR. Lili had a very insightful take on spiking. Julie enjoyed it but didn’t see the connection when Lili had been a caller on another show.
Next up, Hamza Ali Hussain from Scratch Radio. Hamza used his demo to reflect on the outrageous cost of living prices and specifically the price of a Dubai chocolate! Pandora noted that it was a great topic of conversation and found the demo very funny but thought it could be condensed.
